Alex Rins is very ambitious to participate in the 2022 Dutch MotoGP even though he has not fully recovered from injury. The Suzuki Ecstar racer hopes to be able to endure the pain in his hand while driving at the Assen Circuit.
Rins had a pretty serious accident during the 2022 Catalunya MotoGP due to being hit by Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda) when he fell. The incident broke his left arm bone and missed the 10th MotoGP 2022 series in Germany.
Actually, at the Sachsenring the Spaniard had time to take part in free practice. However, he decided not to take part in the race because he still felt excruciating pain in his injured hand.
Now Rins said he wanted to race in the Land of the Windmills, Sunday (26/6/2022) night. The Spaniard hopes to be able to endure the pain in his arm even though it is better than before.
“Waiting a few extra days should have allowed my wrist to heal a bit more, and I hope this time the pain will be more bearable,” Rins said.
“I will seek advice from the doctors and try to take it weekend by session but for sure I really want to race here in Assen, it’s an absolutely amazing place!” he added.
The presence of Rins is very much needed by Suzuki. The reason is, in the last few races the Japanese team failed to score points because another representative, Joan Mir also often failed to finish.
