The sequel to Modern Warfare and the Call of Duty premium title returning to modern warfare, ‘ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been set for release on October 28th.

Activision Blizzard announced the release date of the new Modern Warfare 2 on the official Call of Duty franchise website on the 24th. The news of the development of Modern Warfare 2 was first reported in February as a sequel to the reboot of Modern Warfare. Afterwards, Activision announced the revival of Modern Warfare numbering by announcing the title as Modern Warfare 2 with the teaser announcement in April.
‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘, released in 2019, is a reboot of the 2007 work ‘Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’ with the same subtitle. At the time of its release, the reboot title was comparable to the great box office success of ‘Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’, the first modern warfare in the series and the FPS game-changing title, but also raised concerns, but after its release, expectations were greatly reflected.
‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’ received a lot of attention as a modern warfare that returned with fans of the existing Modern Warfare series, and recorded the highest opening box office success in the series. Since then, Activision has been tying the Modern Warfare series, ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’ and ‘Call of Duty: Vanguard’ into one worldview along with the online title ‘Call of Duty: Warzone’.
Meanwhile, along with the release date announcement, Activision Blizzard also released key images of characters who will appear in the game. John Price, who appeared as a key character in the reboot series as well as in the original Modern Warfare series, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick, the protagonist of the previous work, and John ‘Thorp’ Mac, who is expected to return as a key figure in Task Force 141 beyond multiplayer. Tabishi, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, who announced that he will join the next campaign in the Modern Warfare reboot, and Alejandro Vargas, Mexican special forces, announced the appearance of Modern Warfare 2 with this image.
Activision Blizzard said it will continue to release information about the franchise, starting with the release of official artwork. In addition, in the previous earnings announcement, he raised expectations for the new work, saying that as a sequel to the most successful franchise work is developed, a better play experience will be delivered.
