Summer is here, and you are already afraid to apply your moisturizer for fear of sweating! Please don’t panic; we will give you the right gestures.
No question of letting the skin dry out because your cream makes you sweat. Here are some tips for taking care of your skin despite the hot weather.
Why does cream make you sweat?
You have certainly already felt the funny feeling after applying your day cream on a summer morning. Barely outside, it’s a disaster, you sweat like it’s not allowed, and goodbye to pretty makeup! And yet we must not give up hydration of the face and body even in summer. When it’s hot, the skin sweats because the body tries to regulate its temperature to maintain it at 37°C.

What happens if we don’t hydrate the skin for fear of sweating more? For fear of dehydrating, the body and the skin, in particular, will produce more and more sebum. This fat will be a means of blocking the water that escapes from the body. So the less you hydrate, the oilier the skin becomes!
Drink, drink, drink
Before even thinking about beauty and cosmetic gestures, drinking at least 1.5 liters of water a day is essential. Some open their eyes wide but know this is not a bad joke. Start on an empty stomach with a large glass of lemon water in the morning. Without this daily intake, the body dries out, dehydrates, and the cells struggle to renew themselves.
This causes digestion problems on the one hand and premature aging of the whole organism. Summer often rhymes with aperitifs and more frequent doses of alcohol. However, alcohol also causes dehydration, so go ahead with the water bottle!
Change day cream
The skin changes in appearance with the seasons. If you have combination skin in winter, it is more likely to become oily in summer. If your skin is dehydrated and tight in winter, you will probably find a good balance in the summer. Therefore, we must also adapt to this change and modify our habits and beauty routines in the morning.
The first tip, change your day cream! We save the rich and very greasy creams for the winter. Do not be afraid to sweat, it is a natural and essential process in the body. We do not block sweat. In summer, you must find a lotion or a lighter treatment that won’t clog your pores. After thorough washing, apply your cream to moisturize the skin and protect it from external aggressions. In the evening, after removing makeup, consider moisturizing the skin with dry oil, a light night cream, or a simple hydrosol.
One mask per week
To perfect your hydration, it is also possible to apply a mask to the face once a week. Among other things, this allows the skin to rebuild its natural defense barrier. Here are two natural skincare recipes for moisturizing face masks. Mash a banana and apply it for fifteen minutes on your face. Rinse with cold (not ice cold) water to activate circulation.
On the same principle, crush a cucumber until obtaining a paste and apply it for fifteen minutes on the face and the neck. Do not forget to keep two washers that can be gently placed on your eyes. The skin around the eyes is thin and fragile, dries out quickly (mainly because of the sun), and requires even more attention!
