It may also have something to do with the huge 7.6-inch main screen, which is now brighter with slimmer bezels. Plus, there are more apps optimized for the Z Fold 4’s large canvas. But these are just some of the things that will give you butterflies in your stomach.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 a smarter smartphone
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is already here. It’s the newest large-format flip phone from the Korean tech giant. At first glance it is already striking. But when you immerse yourself in it, you only find things that make you want to have it.
An irresistible screen
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 retains the “book-style” folding format of its predecessor. This means it starts out like a regular phone, but you can unfold it to create a larger screen. According to Samsung, this is its slimmest Fold to date. It measures 155.1 x 130.1 x 6.3 mm when unfolded. And 155.1 x 67.1 x 14.2. 15.8mm when folded.
That’s partly thanks to the use of Ultra-Thin Glass, which is strong but, as the name suggests, thin. In fact, this phone is very solid in many ways. Featuring tough Armor Aluminum on the frame, Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on the cover screen and back. It also has an IPX8 rating, so it can survive in water at depths of up to 1.5 meters.
The outer screen is 6.2 inches diagonally, with a resolution of 2316 x 904, so it’s quite long and thin. The internal screen is much larger at 7.6-inches and its 2176 x 1812 resolution shows that it is much squarer.
It also has 374 pixels per inch and support for HDR10+. While both screens have a 120Hz refresh rate and use AMOLED.
A sweeping design
The core functionality of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 remains the same as in previous versions. And its overall design hasn’t changed much either. When folded, the phone looks and works just like any normal smartphone . However, open it up and it will double in width. It transforms into a tablet and reveals a large internal screen.
The Fold 4 is lighter than the previous model, weighing in at 263g. Also, the hinge is slimmer and both screens are 3mm wider, with narrower bezels . You can also choose between three colors: Phantom Black, Beige and Graygreen.
The circumference of the phone is reflective silver. The rear camera array is positioned in a vertical traffic light formation in the upper left corner. And it only protrudes a few millimeters from the rest of the frame.
A film photos and videos
Samsung has given the Galaxy Z Fold 4 a nice camera upgrade. The main rear camera increases to a 50 megapixel (MP) sensor. You’ll be able to enjoy Nightography features for better low-light shots. And with Flex mode on, you can use the rear camera’s selfie mode while using the Cover Screen to preview.
The telephoto lens is 10MP. And Samsung has set the zoom range to 3X. Its ultra wide angle stays at 12MP. Similarly, the cover display and under-display camera have 10MP and 4MP resolutions, respectively. Today the mobile is our camera. A software that will make you fly
The Flip 4 comes with Qualcomm’s latest top processor, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It’s the same chip used in the latest Android smartphones. As such, it’s a snappy and responsive phone with the highest performance available on Android . The Galaxy Z Fold 4 knows if it is folded at a 90-degree angle. And if you’re in an app like Word, put the split keyboard in the bottom half of the screen.
The app dock not only allows you to drag and drop apps and keep the ones you use frequently on the dock. It can also remember groups of apps and let you instantly access and reopen them with a tap.
To make multitasking easier, there’s a new taskbar that appears at the bottom of the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s screen. It automatically displays your recent apps. And you can decide which favorites appear on the taskbar simply by rearranging the main home row on the home screen.
It looks like the dream phone. When you want to call or send messages it is a normal smartphone. But if you want to search or watch series, it becomes a Tablet. Et vola. A two in one. Its features, its finishes and its performance make the Samsung Z Fold 4 a phone to love.
