Last month, controversial influencer Andrew Tate was banned from various social media platforms for violating their policies.
But nearly two weeks after these bans, platforms are still awash with videos of Tate making derogatory comments about women.
Their comments can be manipulated to radicalize young men into taking harmful views against women and the LGBTQ community.
Next, learn who Andrew Tate is and his controversial actions.
Emory Andrew Tate , a former professional kick-boxer, gained notoriety after appearing on the UK reality show “Big Brother” in 2016. He was removed from the show when a video was made public of him appearing to assault a woman with a belt.
The controversial influencer has said that the incident was consensual. Tate and his brother started the webcam business, employing as many as 75 webcam models.
Tate’s personal website offers training courses on wealth accumulation and “male-female interactions.” According to the website, she also operates a webcam studio that uses girlfriends as employees.
Tate created a controversial figure as a tiktoker and streamer with millions of followers around the world.
The White Ribbon Campaign , a nonprofit organization that advocates against violence between men and women, finds Tate’s comment “extremely misogynistic” and its possible long-term effects on its young male audience “troubling.”
The influencer explained that his role is that of a “comic character” and claimed that people believed “absolutely false narratives” about him.
In August 2022, his Instagram and Facebook account were permanently suspended, where he had 4.7 million followers for violating his policies on hate speech and dangerous organizations and individuals.
His TikTok account was removed after determining that it violated their policies on “content that attacks, threatens, incites violence, or dehumanizes an individual or group.”
Shortly after, YouTube also suspended his channel citing multiple violations, including hate speech and misinformation about COVID-19, and Tate subsequently removed his channel on Twitch.
