Womens ICC Rankings: Bad news for Smriti Dubai, March 15: Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj, who is in poor form, has also suffered a setback in the ICC ODI rankings. Mithali Raj, who is ranked fourth, has dropped three places to seventh. Team India’s opener Smriti Mandhana has been dropped to 11th position. Mithali had scored 31 runs against New Zealand and 5 runs against the West Indies in the ongoing World Cup. Mithali Raj, captain of the ill-fated Indian women’s cricket team, has also suffered a setback in the ICC ODI rankings.
Smriti Mandhana, on the other hand, is out of the top-10 after scoring 123 against the West Indies. In batting, New Zealand’s Saturnweight and South Africa’s Wolvert have benefited. Saturnweight is third in the top five, while Wolwart is fifth. Australia’s Alyssa Healy remains at number one in batting.
India’s fastest bowler Jhulan Goswami, who has taken the most wickets in the World Cup, has also lost two places. Jhulan Goswami is now ranked sixth. Deepti Sharma remains sixth in the all-rounder rankings.
England have yet to win a match at this year’s World Cup, but Sophie Ecclestone tops the bowlers’ list. Ashley Gardner is ranked seventh on the all-rounder’s list. She scored an unbeaten 48 against New Zealand and also took 2 wickets. Australia’s Alice Perry tops the all-rounder rankings.
